Ludlow wall repairs will cost thousands

Repairs to historic town walls in Shropshire are expected to cost up to £350,000, the council said.

Part of a wall which supports Castle Square car park in Ludlow is leaning heavily, and has been cordoned off for some time.

John Williams from Shropshire Council said the repairs could take up to four months.

He said not a lot was known about the history of the wall and what is causing it to lean.

The work in expected to start in August.
