Man in court charged with murder

A man has appeared in court charged with murder after a 52-year-old was found with stab wounds at his flat.

Paul Wayne Rugg was found injured at his home in Kynaston Road, Harlescott, Shrewsbury, on 6 January.

Wayne Austin, 25, of Claverley Crescent, Harlescott, appeared before Shrewsbury Crown Court and was remanded in custody.

The case was adjourned for a plea and case management hearing to be held in the week starting 29 March.
