Pool shut over water pipe fault

A leisure centre has been closed for a third day because of a collapsed water pipe.

The Quarry Swimming and Fitness Centre in Shrewsbury was closed on Saturday afternoon, when a leak was discovered.

There was no water available in the Shropshire Council-run building, but work started on Sunday to fix the problem.

The authority said it was hoped the centre would be open on Tuesday and apologised for any inconvenience.
