Graffiti tag found on parked cars

Graffiti tag
A number of incidents have been reported over 48 hours

The same graffiti tag has been found on several parked cars in a Shropshire town.

A number of incidents in Newport concerning the tag, which appears to resemble the letters CBZ or possibly GBZ, have been reported over 48 hours.

Cars found with the tag include a number of taxis parked at the back of the Royal Victoria Hotel.

The tag was possibly written with a marker pen during the incidents, West Mercia Police said.

A spokesman said: "The owners of the vehicles concerned have expressed annoyance about the inconvenience they have suffered.

"But thankfully it appears that the marker pen does eventually come off without causing any long term damage to the cars."
