An inquest into the death of a 21-year-old man whose body was pulled out of the River Severn in Shropshire has been opened.

Chris Wall disappeared during the early hours of 2 July while on his way home to Castlefields, Shrewsbury.

He was found in the Severn on 4 July. Mr Wall's family have said his death had left "a large gap" in their lives.

The inquest was adjourned until a police report into the incident could be completed.

Mr Wall worked as a mortgage specialist at HSBC and was a keen bowls and darts player.
