New facility for recreated town

The Blists Hill attraction recreates Victorian life with shops and houses

A new visitor centre for a recreated Victorian town at a Shropshire tourist attraction has opened opened as part of a £12m development.

Blists Hill, which is part of the Ironbridge Gorge Museum, recreates Victorian life with shops and houses.

A newly-built area containing a post office and shops opened at Easter as part of the scheme.

Blists Hill Open Air Museum, which is now the Victorian town, opened to the public in 1973.
