Swine flu sports centre reopens

Mary Webb Sport Centre, Pontesbury, Shropshire
The sports centre was deep cleaned, the council said

A sports centre which was shut after a member of staff was diagnosed with swine flu has now reopened.

The Mary Webb Sport Centre in Pontesbury, Shropshire, was shut as a precaution last week.

Council chiefs said the centre had been deep cleaned and officials had been liaising with relevant health agencies.

They said the member of staff who was affected had been treated and had made a full recovery. He was said to only have a "mild" form of the virus.
