Man's body is pulled from river

A man's body has been pulled out of the River Severn in Shropshire.

Police said they received calls about a male's body which was seen in the river near Dorset Street, Shrewsbury, shortly after 0800 BST.

"A fully-clothed male was removed from the river," a West Mercia Police spokesman said.

West Ambulance Service said it helped police and fire crews at the scene. A post-mortem examination was being carried out on the body on Sunday.
