Four men arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a man was viciously attacked have been released from police bail without charge.

A 29-year-old man was dragged through the broken windows of a car and badly beaten in Urban Gardens, in Wellington, Shropshire, on 1 June.

Last week, police said a £10,000 reward for information had been offered.

The victim remains in a stable condition in hospital, West Mercia Police said.

Det Insp John Elcock said: "We are following up a number of leads as part of the inquiry but would once again like to appeal to anyone with information to come forward and share that information with us,"

CCTV images have been released of a car which was seen in the area at about 0330 BST, the time of the attack.

More than 40 officers and support staff are working on the case.
