Man killed in two-car collision

A man has died in a two-car collision in Shropshire.

The crash happened on the A41 at Shakeford, Hinstock, near Market Drayton, at about 0700 BST.

The road was blocked while emergency services worked at the scene and was closed for a number of hours before being reopened.

A man in one of the vehicles died at the scene but no-one else is believed to have been injured. West Mercia Police has appealed for witnesses.
