West Mercia Police have appealed for information

A hot air balloon has been stolen from a Lindstrand Balloons compound.

Two trailers were taken after thieves broke into the compound in Maesbury Road, Oswestry, Shropshire.

A trailer with Redrow branding on it contained a hot air balloon and basket along with a burner, fuel cylinders and other items.

The second container, showing a photo of a Virgin-branded hot air balloon, included cylinders. Both trailers were seen being towed on the A5 on Sunday.

Anyone with information has been asked to contact West Mercia Police or Crimestoppers.
