Bungalow badly damaged in blaze

A bungalow in Shropshire has been badly damaged by fire.

The blaze has affected all of the semi-detached property in the village of Treflach, near Oswestry, Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service said.

It was not known if anyone was inside at the time and firefighters have not been able to get in because the roof has been unsafe, police said.

Firefighters from Oswestry, Shrewsbury, Chirk and Llanfyllin attended after crews were called on Wednesday morning.

Once the property was declared safe, the fire service was due to go inside, West Mercia Police added.

The fire service was called at about 0800 BST and alerted police.
