Work on recycling facility starts

Work has started on a new recycling facility in Shropshire costing nearly £3m.

It is hoped that the facility for Oswestry at Mile Oak Industrial Estate could be ready by next May.

Shropshire Waste Partnership said it would effectively replace the existing centre at Maesbury Road with the more up-to-date one.

It said the scheme would allow people in the Oswestry area to recycle more of the goods than they do at the moment.
