Police are "extremely concerned" for Mandy Franks' safety
Detectives searching for a woman missing for nearly a week said a person spotted on CCTV in a club was not her.
Mandy Franks, 40, of Belle Vue Road, Shrewsbury, went missing on Saturday night after visiting a bar in the town with her partner.
It was thought she had been seen on CCTV in the Reflex club, but detectives said they were now satisfied the woman in the images was not her.
Police said they remained "extremely concerned" for Ms Franks' safety.
Her partner, Jody Evans, 24, has made an emotional appeal for her return.
Brief conversation
Det Ch Insp Jon Groves said: "We are satisfied the woman we thought might have been Mandy was not her.
"As a result, we are no longer looking for the two men who had spoken to this woman and whose descriptions were issued yesterday."
Boyfriend, Jody Evans appealed for help
He added Ms Franks left the Frank Cafe Bar, in Frankwell, at about 2200 BST on Saturday, and made her way across the Welsh Bridge to Montgomery's Tower pub, arriving at 2215 BST.
"We also believe she had a brief conversation with a doorman outside Montgomery's Tower between 11.50pm and 12.05am.
"This is the last reported sighting of Mandy and we have received no information since then relating to her whereabouts."
More than 50 officers are working on the case and officers remained "extremely concerned" for her safety, he added.
Mr Evans said he had left her at Frank Cafe Bar at about 2130 BST as he had to meet a friend.
Police are carrying out house to house inquiries, collecting CCTV footage and checking the River Severn and its banks.
"At the moment we just do not know what has happened to her and I would stress again the need for people to come forward promptly if they have any information which could help," Mr Groves said.
