Delays expected over safety work

Motorists are being warned about delays on a main route in Shropshire as anti-flood work and safety improvements are carried out.

The work, on the A41 near Newport, includes adding an anti-skid surface after several accidents and upgrading drains to help remove rain water.

It will be carried out in two parts and Telford and Wrekin Council said there may disruption for the next four weeks.

More traffic lights will be in place in September to lay the anti-skid surface.
