Prison drug courier is sentenced

A drug addict who smuggled heroin worth £5,000 in his trousers while visiting an inmate at Stafford Prison has been jailed for four years and nine months.

Dale Rollason, 24, of Jellicoe Crescent, Shifnal, Shropshire, was caught by a drug testing machine, Stafford Crown Court heard.

He admitted possessing heroin with intent to supply after being caught with 13g of the drug.

His defence solicitor said he had been promised drugs to act as a courier.
