Call to cut Easter egg packaging

Ms Blizzard wants manufacturers to reduce Easter egg packaging
Easter egg manufacturers should reduce the amount of packaging which cannot be recycled, a waste group has said.

Shropshire Waste Partnership said too many eggs were unnecessarily packaged using moulded plastic.

Joy Blizzard from the group, which is part of Shropshire County Council, said consumers should instead consider buying eggs in just foil wrappers.

"It's good to remind people that one way or another you're going to be paying for this packaging," she said.
