Clean-up starts on housing estate
Sutton Hill
Resident filmed "eyesores" and posted footage on YouTube
A clean-up operation on a housing estate has started after complaints that it was being neglected.

Last week, people living in Sutton Hill in Telford, said burnt out and derelict homes were a regular sight on the estate, which was built in 1968.

One campaigner filmed several "eyesores" and put footage on YouTube.

An order was issued to one household to clean up the property but, when it was not carried out, contractors were called in to remove rubbish.

Two thirds of the houses are privately owned, and Telford and Wrekin Council said it has made approaches to other owners.
