Road resurfaced over safety fears
A stretch of the A41 in Shropshire is to be resurfaced after safety fears.

There have been several accidents on the road in Woodcote Hollow in Newport, partly attributed to the layout.

The £250,000 project will begin in the summer which will see several improvements made, including the laying of a new anti-skid surface.

Andrew Eade, leader of Telford and Wrekin Borough Council, said many roads have suffered from under-investment over the years.

"We're obviously very keen to deal with road conditions across the board anyway," he said.

"We have put extra money into that so we can start to get roads back into reasonable repair - they have suffered from under-investment for some considerable time."
