Cartoon Festival has a new patron

The cartoon festival runs between 18 and 20 April
Andrew Marr, has become the latest patron of Shrewsbury's fifth International Cartoon Festival.

The BBC's political commentator joins a line-up of distinguished patrons who support the festival.

They include the presenter, Libby Purves, and the creator of the Beagle 2 space craft, scientist, Colin Pilger.

More than 40 professional cartoonists and caricaturists are expected to attend the festival between 18 and 20 April.

There will be exhibitions of cartoonists work and workshops where members of the public can watch the experts at work and have a go at drawing their own cartoons.

The theme of this year's festival is 'Art'.
