Jail threat over 999 crew attacks
A campaign that aims to cut assaults on ambulance staff has been backed by West Midlands Ambulance Service

Posters warning people they could face a prison sentence if they attack members of staff will be placed in ambulances and hospitals.

According to the West Midlands Ambulance Service, 99 members of its staff were assaulted during 2006/07.

Spokesman Steve Elliker said: "We are committed to protecting our staff from violence."
