Bingo hall set to be demolished
Dawley Bingo Hall
Residents claim the empty building is attracting rats
A derelict bingo hall which residents claim is attracting vandals, fly tippers and rats is set to be demolished.

The old Royal Bingo Hall in Dawley, Telford, will be knocked down in the next 10 days for a new development.

People living near the building, which has been empty for more than a year, said action was needed as youths were hanging around causing problems.

Planning conditions, which had caused a delay, have now been agreed.

Shaun Davies, parish councillor for Dawley, said: "The windows are smashed, the doors are boarded up and there's a hell of a lot of weeds and a lot of rubbish that's been tipped around the area."
