A new train operator has started running services between Shropshire and the West Midlands.

London Midland has taken over former Silverlink County services and most Central Trains routes until September 2015.

The new company, part of Govia, began running trains on Sunday, including a route from Shrewsbury to Birmingham.

The firm has promised new and refurbished trains, more parking, CCTV and better information services.

Stations in Shropshire that trains will call at are Shrewsbury, Wellington, Oakengates, Telford Central, Shifnal, Cosford and Albrighton.
