£10,000 reward for 1994 murder
Trevor Bradley
Mr Bradley sold antiques, jewellery and bric-a-brac, police said
A £10,000 reward is being offered by police reviewing the murder of a man whose body was found in his burnt out car 13 years ago.

West Mercia Police said they believed there were a number of people with information about the death of Trevor Bradley, from Ludlow in Shropshire.

The 53-year-old travelled across the county buying and selling antiques.

A team of officers has spent 12 months looking at new ways to investigate the murder as part of a "cold case" review.

Det Insp Andy Parsons said the force was taking the "unprecedented" step of offering the reward in the hope of getting information that would lead to a conviction or has a significant impact on the case.

"Mr Bradley met his death in an horrific manner and his family deserve to see those responsible for his death brought to justice," he said.

I am convinced there are a number of people who have key information that could help the investigation team
Det Insp Andy Parsons, leading the investigation

"We know some witnesses may have been reluctant to come forward with vital information because of certain loyalties, fear or mistrust of police at the time of his death. After 13 years, situations can change.

"I am convinced there are a number of people who have key information that could help the investigation team. I would ask those people to examine their consciences now and come forward.

"I can assure them the support we can give key witnesses has improved significantly over the last decade.

"For all these reasons, I believe the time is now right to take the unusual step of offering a £10,000 reward."

Mr Bradley's body was found in his white Vauxhall Nova in a field between the hamlets of Crosslanes and Kinnerley, near Melverley, Shropshire on 27 April 1994.

The vehicle had been seen on fire in that location earlier in the day.

He was was seen in Monkmoor and Shrewsbury town centre the day before he died and there were unconfirmed sightings of him at Leominster bingo hall later that day.

Posters publicising the new appeal will be put up in Shrewsbury, Leominster, Ludlow and Melverley in coming days, police said.
