New laws for town's dog walkers
Dog walkers of Oswestry
People in Oswestry were worried about the new laws
Dog-walkers worried they would not be able to let their pets off the leash have been given a reprieve.

Owners feared Oswestry Borough Council was about to introduce laws stating dogs must be kept on leads in two of the town's popular walking areas.

The council has now said dogs can be exercised off the lead at the Old Racecourse and Ifton Meadows.

But, dogs must be kept on leads in other areas and are not allowed into play areas or sports grounds at all.
