Auction for Severn Valley repairs
Landslide damage to Severn Valley Railway
The line was hit by landslides in several places
Volunteers at the flood-damaged Severn Valley Railway are hoping an auction will help raise much needed funds for repairs to the 16-mile line.

The railway which runs between Shropshire and Worcestershire was damaged in more than 40 places during torrential rainfalls in the summer.

The estimate for full repairs has been put at £2.5m.

Monday's auction in Kidderminster includes first class rail excursion tickets and paintings.

The line is currently only open between Kidderminster and Bewdley although repairs are now under way.
