Toll proposal no longer supported
Plans to start road charging in Shrewsbury and introduce a toll road are no longer being supported by a council.

There are plans to make the planned North West Relief Road into a 1-a-time toll and to charge vehicles entering the town centre within the river loop.

A motion put forward at a Shropshire County Council meeting not to support the proposals was passed unanimously.

A study and public consultation on the issues will still go ahead.
