Vandals strike in town cemetery
A number of headstones have been smashed at a Shrewsbury cemetery for the second time in a month.

The vandalism attack took place between New Year's Eve and Tuesday morning at the town's cemetery in Longden Road.

Up to eight graves were damaged with repairs expected to cost about £4,000. In the earlier attack on 12-13 December 16 headstones were smashed.

Pc Ben Stephens, of West Mercia Police, said officers would look into whether the two attacks were linked.
