Rabbit hops into police station
A runaway rabbit that found its way to a police station in Shropshire has proved popular with officers and staff.

The dwarf lop-eared rabbit was found wandering in the grounds of Shrewsbury police station early on Wednesday.

The tan-coloured bunny, that has black markings, was "taken into custody" by staff in the communications room, a West Mercia Police spokesman said.

Control room operator Vicky Robinson, who is looking after the rabbit, said: "He's a lovely little bunny."

She said she had taken the rabbit to her home in Bayston Hill where she had a spare hutch.

"Hopefully the owners will contact the police station and we will be able to return him. But if he remains unclaimed, there are several staff here ready to adopt him."
