Market town to get £1m facelift
More than £1m is to be spent improving a Shropshire town.

Councillors in Wellington are backing plans to smarten up the town centre, issue grants to restore historic buildings and attract new business.

The plans have been under discussion at Telford and Wrekin Borough Council for more than a year.

The council wants to revitalise the town by attracting more visitors and shoppers, which will hopefully encourage new investment.

A spokesman for the Wellington Partnership said it is a process which has worked for other market towns.
