A Shropshire-based training group that helps retrain drunk drivers to stop them re-offending is moving to bigger premises to keep up with demand.

Some 9,000 convicted drink drivers go through 800 Telford Training Consultant (TTC) courses annually in 14 counties.

Firms also use the training schemes to ensure staff drive more safely and to push insurance premiums down.

Government Chief Whip and former Telford MP Lord Grocott started off the work on the new site at Hadley Park.

Lord Grocott said: "TTC has a splendid reputation for raising awareness of road safety issues. The company has worked closely with Rospa and Pacts and government departments to try to reduce the toll of death and injuries on our roads each year."

TTC educate the workforce in a range of issues including drink, drugs, over the counter medicine and driver safety.
