Motorway to shut for improvements
The Highways Agency is reducing the number of nights that part of the M54 will be closed for repairs.

Motorists were warned on Wednesday the westbound carriageway between junction five at Telford and junction 6 at Ketley would close for five nights.

They now say the two-mile section will only be closed on Friday between 2100 BST until 0600 BST.

Traffic will be diverted via the B5072 and A5223 before returning onto the motorway at junction 6.

The surface of the road will be monitored to make sure it meets safety standards while improvements to the white lining and road studs are carried out.
