An American tourist whose gold bracelet was stolen while she was on holiday in Shropshire has had her jewellery returned - five years after the theft.
Police officers traced the bangle, which was taken while Jane Molloy was on a canal holiday.
Mrs Molloy, from Los Angeles, and her family were visiting Ellesmere when the distinctive bracelet was taken from their barge five years ago.
It was spotted by a sharp-eyed police officer during a recent investigation.
Pc Eric Humphreys, who handled the original crime, tracked the owner down and sent her an e-mail with the good news.
Mrs Molloy has now written to the force thanking the police for their work.
A man who was arrested and charged with a series of burglaries, including breaking into the barge, has been jailed for six months.
