More police on arson-hit estate
Fire damage outside the block of flats
One woman remains in hospital after the fires
Extra police are patrolling a Shrewsbury housing estate after three arson attacks over the weekend which are thought to be linked.

A pregnant woman is still in hospital after she and her child became trapped when fire broke out in a block of flats in Harlescott Grange on Saturday.

Early on Sunday two men were saved from their flat in nearby Prestbury Green.

In a third incident a skip and its contents were destroyed outside Barclays Bank in Harlescott Lane.

Det Insp Rob Mountford said they were taking the incidents very seriously.

"It was only by good fortune in both incidents that thankfully the occupants were woken by noise and smoke and were able to raise the alarm," he said.
