Police to tackle drunken violence
Police are to carry out operations in Telford on Saturday in an effort to tackle drunken violence.

About a dozen officers will target pubs and the surrounding areas in Brookside, Madeley and Stirchley from 2000 BST until the early hours of Sunday.

The force says it wants to act against the small minority of people who are intent on causing trouble.

Officers will be out on foot patrols and CCTV cameras will also be used during the operation.
