A Shropshire man has received two life terms in jail for attacking his heavily-pregnant girlfriend and destroying her baby.

Kissland Dennis, 40, from Malinslee, Telford, attacked Leanne Buttery, who was eight months pregnant, at his home last April.

He was convicted by a jury at Stafford Crown Court of grievous body harm with intent and child destruction.

The judge recommended he serve at least 10 years.
