Appeal over woman killed by train
A woman has died after she was hit by a train in Telford.

The victim was struck by a service travelling between Birmingham New Street and Shrewsbury on Saturday morning, police said.

She is described as white, aged about 50, 5ft 5ins tall, with straight shoulder-length dark brown hair.

The death is not being treated as suspicious, but officers are appealing for anyone who knows who the woman is to get in touch.

She was wearing a cream fleece top with dark trousers and black boots, a silver necklace with a small silver heart pendant, a silver bracelet and a diamond solitaire ring on her right hand.
