Police are continuing to question a 27-year-old man about the murder of a pregnant schoolgirl who was found strangled in a Shropshire churchyard.
Amy Williams' body was discovered by an elderly man
The body of Amy Williams, 14, was found on Monday in the grounds of St Michael's Church in Madeley, Telford.
West Mercia Police said the man, who comes from Telford, was arrested on Thursday afternoon.
Amy was last seen on Boxing Day leaving a family party near her home in the Sutton Hill area.
On Thursday Amy's family made an emotional appeal to help catch her killer.
West Mercia Police set up a major incident room and 60 officers are working on the case.
When Amy's body was found by a man visiting a grave, she was wearing only a pair of pink socks.
But police said there was no suggestion at that time that she had been sexually assaulted.
Det Ch Insp Dave Morgan said on Thursday police could not account for Amy's movements in the 12 hours between her leaving the party and when her body was found.
"It is vital we piece together what Amy was doing and who she was with during those 12 hours.
"She cannot simply have disappeared. We believe someone, several people perhaps, know where Amy was during that time.
"This information is absolutely crucial to our investigation."
Her clothes, a pink tracksuit and white Kappa trainers, and some house keys have still not been found.
