Bridegroom died before honeymoon
A newly-married man was found dead in his car hours before he was due to go on honeymoon, an inquest has heard.

The body of Jason Daw of Kingswinford, West Midlands, was found at Alveley, near Bridgnorth, Shropshire, outside the hotel where he had married.

The 34-year-old sent a goodbye text message to his wife saying he was sorry he could not measure up.

Recording an open verdict, South Shropshire coroner said there was no evidence Mr Daw killed himself.

The inquest heard the diabetic businessman was clinically obese, took a variety of medication and had started having blackouts.

Police found no sign of injury after he was discovered in the back of his Saab outside the Mill Hotel where he had married four days earlier on 3 July.

His 34-year-old wife, Julie, had said he proposed at the top of the Empire State building and said their wedding was the perfect day.
