Cash boost for village project
A south Shropshire community has been given nearly £20,000 government funding to help develop a village green.

Volunteers on the Living Spaces initiative at Aston-on-Clun will work on the project, which is due to be completed within three years.

A volunteer scheme in Telford will also receive £18,000 funding.

The Madeley Orchard group will use the cash to transform an old allotment into a wildlife haven with community facilities.

The scheme is funded by the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister.
