Rare topiary animals stolen
Police are hoping shoppers may be able to help them find two giant topiary animals valued at £3,000.

The two figures fashioned from trees - a nine-feet-high giraffe and a stag topping six feet - were stolen from Boningale's Nurseries, in Albrighton, Shropshire.

The trees, which were grown in Italy, are very rare and police believe they may be offered for sale to bank holiday shoppers.

A police speokesman said the topiary animals are very heavy.

The thieves, who broke into the garden centre in March, are believed to have used a flat bed truck to remove the items.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police at Shifnal.
