Rural bus service boost
Improvements are being made to bus services from Shrewsbury to Minsterley and Bishop's Castle.

A more frequent 553 service is being provided by Minsterley Motors.

From Monday, the company is putting on a half hourly bus from Minsterley and Pontesbury into Shrewsbury and back for much of the day.

Four new buses with lower floors to aid disabled people will be brought into service on the route.

Some special fares are also being introduced, including one that allows passengers to make a 10% saving on the cost of two single tickets.

The new service is the result of a partnership between Shropshire County Council and Minsterley Motors, and is being funded by the council and the Countryside Agency.
