New energy system installed at Chipping Norton Lido

The Lido in Chipping Norton
Energy efficient systems including solar panels will be used to heat The Lido

An energy efficient system will be unveiled at The Lido in Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire when it opens for the summer season.

The lido has had a £140,000 heating system installed to heat the pool via solar panels on the roof, helping to cut energy costs and carbon emissions.

The Lido Trustees have also invested in a heat-retaining pool cover to help keep the water warm.

The new systems will be operational at an open day on Thursday.
