A man from Oxfordshire been charged with attacks on girls between the 1970s and 1990s. George Thomas Prior, 64, from the Leys, Faringdon, also known as Fred Smith, was arrested on Tuesday. He has been charged with 10 counts of raping a girl under 16, and is accused of indecently assaulting a girl under 14, Thames Valley Police said. Mr Prior has been remanded in custody to appear at Oxford Crown Court on Friday 23 April.
