Two charged with poppy box thefts

An Oxford couple accused of stealing a number of charity boxes have appeared in court.

Sabrina Burton, 24, and Michael Bailey, 25, both of Fettiplace Road, Headington, were arrested on Thursday.

They both faced five counts of theft at Oxford Magistrates' Court. Ms Burton was released on police bail and Mr Bailey was remanded into custody.

The pair are expected to appear before Oxford Magistrates' Court again later this month.
