Two held over charity box theft

Two people have been arrested over the theft of a charity box in Oxford.

A Royal British Legion poppy appeal box was stolen at a hairdressers on Windmill Road at about midday on 2 November.

A 25-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman were arrested on Thursday at an address in Fettiplace Road, Headington. They are currently in police custody.

Police have said they were linking the theft to two other poppy appeal box thefts in Headington.
