Police have released a CCTV image of a woman they want to speak to in connection with the theft of three charity boxes in Oxford.

A Royal British Legion poppy appeal box was stolen from Londis on London Road, Headington, on 27 October.

The second was taken from a hairdressers on Windmill Road at about midday on 2 November.

Four days later another tin was taken from the Londis store by a couple fitting the same description.

Police described the man as aged between 25 and 30-years-old, with dark hair and a baseball hat and the woman as also between 25 and 30-years-old with blonde hair.

Investigating case officer Dick Evans said: "I appeal to anyone who recognises the pair to contact police immediately."

Another 10 charity boxes have been stolen across Oxford between 1 October and 6 November, but police do not believe they are linked to the three thefts in Headington.
