A garage has taken the unusual step of offering interest-free credit on repairs and maintenance in a bid to survive the recession.

The move by Friction Clutches in Oxford has been praised by Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce.

Claire Prosser, of the chamber of commerce, said the organisation welcomed anything that was helping employees in Oxfordshire.
