The pool opened on Sunday after passing safety tests earlier in the week
An Olympic-sized lido in Oxfordshire has re-opened after six years.
Cherwell District Council and Banbury Town Council paid £1.5m to refurbish Woodgreen open-air pool in Banbury, which opened to visitors on Sunday.
Its maximum depth was reduced to 1.8m,(5.9ft), decking was installed and the flume and snack kiosk were renovated.
The pool was scheduled to open on Thursday but safety inspectors said the water was not safe, in spite of a new water treatment system being installed.
Leader of Banbury Town Council Kieron Mallon said: "The town council is delighted that this pool is back in action - just the way it should be.
"By working together, the town and district councils have made sure that the people of Banbury have got the pool they wanted and deserve."
