Gang beats man with baseball bat

A man has been beaten up by a gang of teenagers with a baseball bat in Banbury.

The 28-year-old was walking home from a night out along Easington Road at around 1215 BST on Saturday.

He was approached by four men in their late teens and one of them assaulted him.

The man was taken to the Horton General Hospital where he was later discharged. Police are appealing to anyone who saw what happened to contact them.

Det Con Rebecca McCamley, investigating the incident, said: "This was an unprovoked attack on a man walking home from an evening out with friends."
